About

In 2020 Jane Galloway was thinking about finding a studio space in Raglan so she could really embrace her new direction in painting. Her vision was to create large abstract works and she needed a big studio to do so. The old Whaingaroa Organic Kai store had vacated the space at the end of Electric Avenue a year before. It was an exciting find and perfect for Jane’s needs. But such a huge room would be expensive. She then had the idea that a gallery in the front would be the perfect way to justify taking on this project, and the ideal place to display all her new abstract paintings. Four years later, the gallery-studio is going strong and the studio inspires Jane every time she sets foot in the door. It’s her happy place and one that also inspires visitors who enjoy taking time to browse the interesting mix of artworks

Jane continues to find a diverse range of beautiful NZ art and objects to display in the gallery while also painting herself. Needless to say, with so much to do, the gallery is only open on weekends and holidays. The rest of the time Jane can be found painting in the back studio.

Weekday viewing is by appointment only. Just phone Jane on 02102934199

If not at the gallery, she lives only 10 minutes away, and is usually available to welcome you in. Please don’t hesitate to call.
