Run by artist Jane Galloway and displaying work from New Zealand artists and artisans
Kayla Bacon is an emerging artist living in Raglan. Influenced by the light-hearted and funky qualities of 1970s wallpaper design, her work looks towards social change and action by reflecting on the past. Deepening her inquiry into geometric abstraction, her work plays with colour and illusion. Combining digital and analogue practices, she creates 3D wall-hanging paintings that manipulate perception and produce a sense of movement.
She completed her contemporary art degree at Wintec in 2023
